Former Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer broke her back in a fall at her home over the weekend, she reports on Facebook, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
“I broke my back on Saturday,’’ she wrote on her Facebook page Monday. “Can’t believe it myself,’’ she wrote. “Thought the stars were going to finally let up on me.’’
Lockyer has been in recovery for meth addiction since resigning from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors two years ago following a bizarre and widely publicized drug and sex scandal. She and her husband, who will be termed out as treasurer at the end of the year, are dividing their time between Long Beach and the Bay Area, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Continue reading
