Reflecting on the Meaning of Independence Day

Exactly 240 years ago this weekend, brave men from thirteen British colonies at the Second Continental Congress gave birth to the United States of America. They approved a resolution of independence on July 2, 1776, and adopted the world’s most famous Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
