The race for Area 2 of the Anaheim Union High School District’s Board of Education has apparently already attracted two carpetbaggers. The District covers 46 square miles and stretches across the cities of Anaheim, Cypress, Buena Park, La Palma and Stanton, and has 31,000 students.
One of them, Eleazar Elizondo, ran for the Orange County Board of Education in 2012, as a resident of Santa Ana. He came in dead last garnering only 7% of the vote, according to Smart Voter.
Elizondo ran for the Santa Ana City Council in 2002, losing to Mike Garcia while totaling less than 5,000 votes, according to Smart Voter. Continue reading
