Well, it looks like the Republican Party is stuck with Mitt Romney as their lame Presidential candidate this year. But hang on, what about Congressman Ron Paul?
“Dr. Paul is now the last – and real – conservative alternative to Mitt Romney,” said Jesse Benton, National Campaign Chairman for Ron Paul (Houston Chronicle).
But Paul sounded like a candidate who hasn’t yet ruled out other avenues, when he spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Editorial Board. He said he was aware of Americans Elect, a movement to nominate a third-party candidate for president.
