Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and Anaheim City Council candidates Doug Pettibone and James Vanderbilt are hosting the grand opening of their campaign headquarters on Saturday, August 16, 2014, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at 50 South Anaheim Blvd., Suite 90, in Anaheim (Southeast corner of Anaheim Blvd./Lincoln Ave.).

Mayor Tait has stood up time and again in 4 to 1 votes on behalf of his fellow Anaheim residents. He has consistently voted on his principles for the people of Anaheim! It’s time to re-elect him for another term.

Mayor Tait realizes without 2 more votes on the City Council, his lone vote is of no benefit in changing the outcome of bad proposals for Anaheim communities. He has asked two principled and upstanding long-time Anaheim residents to run for election to City Council this November. Continue reading→

Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and his supporters Wednesday celebrated the defeat of Measure D – which would have shortened the mayoral term from four years to two – calling it a “victory for the people” and a sign that voters are wising up to the influence of money in politics, according to the Voice of OC.

Measure D got 8,262 yes votes, equal to 45.7% of the vote.  The No side prevailed with 9,825 votes and 54.3% of the vote.

This is the beginning of the end for former Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, who engineered Measure D and now must take his lumps for failing to fool the voters. Continue reading→

The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) showed their true colors last night at their Central Committee meeting when they voted to oust Greg Diamond as their Vice Chairman.  He lost by one vote and it should be noted that the woman he helped to elect in the 65th Assembly District, Sharon Quirk-Silva, abstained, leaving Diamond dangling in the wind when he needed her the most.

Diamond, the Democratic candidate for Orange County District Attorney, angered the unions who run the DPOC by not supporting his fellow Democrat, Lorri Galloway, who is running a ridiculous campaign for Mayor of Anaheim.  She is running against an incumbent, Mayor Tom Tait, who has fought the Curt Pringle machine that gave away millions of tax dollars to a wealthy hotel developer so he could build a hotel at the failing Anaheim GardenWalk.

If the Democrats want to punish someone in Anaheim for working with the Republicans then they ought to be crucifying Anaheim Councilman Jordan Brandman, who is advised by the same guy who is advising Quirk-Silva.  Brandman is firmly entrenched in the Pringle machine and he is a consistent supporter of his Republican Council Members, as they continue to throw money at corporate interests. Anaheim Mayoral candidate Galloway invites a racist to speak at her kickoff event

Anaheim Councilwoman Lorri Galloway has invited anti-Mexican radio talk show host Bill Handel, who is featured in the morning drive-time on KFI-AM, to appear at her campaign kickoff fundraiser on March 20, 2014, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Kraemer Building, located at 201 E. Center St. in Anaheim. (Source – OC Register).

Galloway, a self-described progressive Democrat, apparently isn’t interested in the Latino vote.  She is running against a Republican, Mayor Tom Tait, who is himself very popular among Anaheim Latinos.  Tait supports ward-specific City Council elections and he has reached out to Anaheim’s Latino residents since he was first elected. Tom Tait wins OC GOP award

Irvine Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Lalloway announced that Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait has been named one of the two 2013 OCGOP Local Elected Officials of the Year by the Republican Party of Orange County, at their Central Committee meeting tonight, according to the OC Political blog.

This is a gigantic slap to the face to former Anaheim Mayor and current lobbyist Curt Pringle and to his acolyte, Anaheim Councilwoman Lucille Kring, who is running against Tait this year. Continue reading→
