Apparently U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez is trying to save her struggling campaign for the U.S. Senate by touting the results of a new Field Poll that shows “a wide open US Senate race with 58% of the voters undecided,” according to a press release distributed via email by her campaign today.
The Field Poll however indicates that California Attorney General Kamala Harris is leading the pack of candidates vying to replace Barbara Boxer, with 19% of first choice preferences. Sanchez received 8% of likely voter preferences, while Republican Assemblyman Rocky Chavez and former state Republican Party chair Tom Del Beccaro trailed at 6% and 5%.
