Los Angeles – Today, all six newspapers that are part of Eastern Group Publication (EGP) published the sole endorsement of Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate. The endorsement cites Sanchez’s strong credentials, bipartisan reputation, principled voting history, and her deep understanding of Southern Californian issues as reasons for their backing. “The Orange County District Attorney (OCDA) has endured years of unethical and inaccurate web ‘reporting’ by various staff members of the Voice of OC.

The latest occurred this afternoon during my conversation with Adam Elmahrek, who is on staff with the Voice of OC.

Freedom Communications, owner of the Orange County Register, is putting the newspaper’s longtime five-story, 175,000-square-foot and nearly 16 acres of land in Santa Ana off the I-5 Freeway on Grand Avenue and adjacent property on the market, according to the O.C. Register.

Aaron Kushner, Freedom chief executive and publisher, said in a year-end letter to the staff said if the company does not lease back the existing space, the newspaper will move to another Santa Ana location.

Real estate experts estimate that the Register building alone could sell for $20 million to $25 million. Continue reading→

OCTA Media Relations Specialist going to CrossFit

Laura Scheper, a Media Relations Specialist at the Orange County Transportation Authority, is leaving the OCTA tomorrow, according to an email message she distributed today.  But she isn’t going to another public agency.  Instead she is going to go to a company called CrossFit.

Apparently she is an avid CrossFitter and she has been working part-time as a CrossFit trainer over the past year. She had been offered the chance to explore opportunities in the world of health and fitness and after much consideration, according to her email, she decided it was time to take the next step. Let’s put Gov. Gary Johnson on the national debate stage!

You know the story. The elite national news media and the Establishment-created Commission on Presidential Debates have rigged the game to try to limit this fall’s presidential debates to only the Democrat Barack Obama, and the Republican Mitt Romney.

They have rigged the debates by picking a number out of the air and declaring that a presidential candidate must have at least 15 percent support in a sample of national polls that – you guessed it – they choose. Continue reading→
