Will we stop crying if we can share a laugh or two?
I don’t have many regrets. Life has been good to me. I was born in the greatest land of freedom and liberty. I married the love of my life and was blessed with three wonderful children, and now grandchildren are beginning to arrive. I’ve flown the world’s most advanced fighter jets launched from the decks of the world’s most powerful ships, and landed them successfully more than four hundred times. Sure, there are some things I wished I had done, but being a standup comic wasn’t one of them, until now. I doubt if I’ll become another Andrew Klavan overnight.
As I’ve walked the precincts of California’s 45th Congressional District and talked to my neighbors about the issues of the day, I’ve sometimes wished that I could replace their anger and their frustration with a smile if not a laugh.
