John Leos Responds to Negative Campaign of Corporate Interests
ANAHEIM (October 29, 2012) — The Voice of OC reported today that Disney-funded PACs supporting Steve Chavez Lodge and Jordan Brandman for Anaheim City Council have in turn funded another PAC which is sending out negative mailers opposing John Leos for Anaheim City Council. Just in time for the Nov. 6 election, Orange County Clerk-Recorder Tom Daly, the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 69th Assembly District, was cleared of the sexual harassment charges that had been hanging over him for weeks, according to an independent investigator hired by the County of Orange.
Daly, in a statement released by the county, said the anonymous complaint was “simply a pathetic attempt to smear me. While the lies of the anonymous complainer are appalling, so is the unnecessary waste of tax dollars spent on this investigation,” according to the L.A. Times. Continue reading

Disney wants more Anaheim tax $$$$$

It isn’t enough that Disney and their minions at SOAR, OCTAX, OCBC, and The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce pushed thru the GIVEAWAY of $158 million in future tax revenue to build 2 luxury hotels at the GardenWalk Ghost Town. Hotels that were, and I believe still are, slated to be operated and branded as Disney properties.

Now Disney wants Anaheim and federal/state tax dollars to fund a ridiculous rail system to shuttle its guests between ARTIC, their future 4 star Disney branded and operated GardenWalk hotels, and the Anaheim Convention Center.
