“After several hours in closed session Friday, Orange County Supervisors took no formal action on the fate of County CEO Tom Mauk in the wake of criminal charges being filed against a former county manager for sexual assault,” according to the Voice of OC.
Supervisor John Moorlach told the L.A. Times that ” Mauk’s performance evaluation had been continued to July 24.”
The O.C. Register reported that: “Mauk’s head wound up on the chopping block because of concerns among some of the supervisors over how he and Carl Crown, then the county’s human resources director, handled an investigation into Bustamante’s treatment of female employees after anonymous accusations were made in August 2011.” Continue reading
