Laguna Beach City Councilman Peter Blake today announced his endorsement of Kelly Ernby for State Assembly.
“I am endorsing Kelly Ernby for Assembly because my biggest concerns for our community revolve around law and order,” said Peter Blake. “I feel that Kelly will serve us well with her background as a prosecutor and Deputy District Attorney. She will fight to protect the hard working, law-abiding citizens of Orange County from Sacramento lawmakers’ efforts to loosen California’s criminal justice standards.”
Peter Blake was first elected to the Laguna Beach City Council in November 2018. Prior to his election to the city council, Peter Blake has served as a pillar of the Laguna Beach art community as the owner of The Peter Blake Gallery.
Blake’s endorsement adds to the growing list of prominent supporters of Kelly Ernby for Assembly, joining Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner, former State Board of Equalization Chair Diane Harkey, Assemblyman Phillip Chen, Mission Viejo Mayor Greg Raths, Huntington Beach Mayor Erik Peterson, Irvine Mayor Christina Shea and many other community leaders and former elected officials.
“Peter Blake is an excellent example of the need for fresh faces in California politics,” said Kelly Ernby. “As a political newcomer myself, I am honored to accept his endorsement and support. If elected, I will always keep the needs of Orange County citizens at the forefront of my policy decisions.”
Kelly Ernby is a pro-business, pro-taxpayer, political outsider with over 16 years of legal experience, including more than seven as a local prosecutor.
