ASSOCIATION OF ORANGE COUNTY DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEYS CALL ON TODD SPITZER TO STOP DECEPTIVE CAMPAIGNING
In March of 2018, the members of the Association of Orange County Deputy District Attorneys (“AOCDDA”) voted and endorsed Tony Rackauckas for District Attorney. The AOCDDA published the endorsement, stating, “By voting to endorse Tony Rackauckas for District Attorney, the members of the Association of Orange County Deputy District Attorneys have reaffirmed that he is the best person to continue heading the District Attorney’s Office.”
It has come to the attention of the AOCDDA that Todd Spitzer recently sent out a misleading mailer that stated he was “Voted OC’s top prosecutor by the Deputy District Attorneys.” The fact is, that in 1992, Todd Spitzer was one of three Deputy District Attorneys who received our Association’s Outstanding Prosecutor Award. Spitzer was never voted “top prosecutor” and is not the Deputy District Attorney’s choice for District Attorney.
We appreciate that Mr. Spitzer continues to recognize the importance of the Outstanding Prosecutor Award, even today, twenty-six years after he received it. But when deciding who should be the District Attorney for Orange County, our Association looks at a candidate’s experience and overall body of work. Any individual can have a great year. But great leaders are measured by consistent, steady achievement over many years. The chair of our Association’s Civic Action Committee, Cyril Yu, described Tony Rackauckas this way: “Tony has been a strong, steady leader who is committed to doing justice for the People. He has led the fight to stop Human
Trafficking, to combat gangs, and to expose corporate malfeasance. Tony has supported and defended the hard work of our Deputy District Attorneys.”
Because of Tony Rackauckas’ record of achievement and success for over two decades, our Association has strongly and proudly endorsed Tony Rackauckas to continue leading the District Attorney’s Office.
Todd was voted Top Prosecutor vs Outstanding Prosecutor, what’s the big deal? This story is dumb and the headline is misleading.
We are not big fans of Spitzer. Or T-Rack either. They are both awful.
So, our choices are clear: the most corrupt district attorney in California, or a whack job with serious identity issues. Now choose…..
Murdock 2018. You can try to defeat him in 2022, if you want, once he’s done cleaning out the muck in the DA’s office. But the others won’t ever do it — especially not Racky & his Mini-Me Kang Schroeder.
Lenore Albert-Sheridan is the right person for this job! Vote Lenore
But isn’t her law license currently suspended?
