NALEO Poll Finds California Latino voters are supporting the Senate bid of U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez
October 30, 2024 — California voters can now learn more about U.S. Senate candidate Kamala Harris’ record by visiting a new website launched today.
Los Angeles, CA — On October 30, 2016, The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) released a poll that included Latino support in the California U.S. Senate race.
In the two-way race for the Senate seat being vacated by U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, Latino voters are supporting U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez (47 percent) over current California Attorney General Kamala Harris (30 percent). If elected, Sanchez would be the first Latina to serve in the U.S. Senate.
“California Latinos will vote for Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate because she is the candidate that has a proven record of fighting for good paying jobs, college grants and affordable education,” said senior campaign advisor, Luis Vizcaino. “As Senator, Loretta Sanchez will introduce a Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill within her first 60 days in office.”
