The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a Fountain Valley City Council candidates forum.
The forum featured these candidates:
- Cheryl Brothers (a VERY longtime incumbent). Click here to read her campaign ballot statement.
- Patrick A. Tucker, a 24-year resident of Fountain Valley whose kids grew up in the city. Click here to read his campaign ballot statement.
- Kim Constantine (this is her second campaign for the F.V. City Council). She helped to stop a mega billboard that the City Council tried to erect by the 405 Fwy. She has taken the lead to try to stop the Fountain Valley City Council’s sales tax increase measure, HH. Click here to read her campaign ballot statement. - Steve Nagel (another longtime incumbent who supported HH then told the OC GOP Central Committee that he was against it). Click here to read his campaign ballot statement.
Patrick A. Tucker
Tucker and Constantine did very well in this forum. They clearly explained why Measure HH is a rip-off that will hurt local businesses and kill jobs.
Nagel squirmed while trying to talk about HH as he has supported it and is supporting it but he lied recently to the OC GOP Central Committee. He told them he opposed it. As a former fireman he is part of the big pension crisis that is driving so many cities to bankruptcy.

Nagel compared HH to having a home mortgage. But the reality is that he and Brothers drove Fountain Valley to financial insolvency. Why would the voters want to reelect the people who caused this mess in the first place?
Cheryl Brothers
Fountain Valley is a small city with very few voters. The City Council cabal has been able to fool the voters for a long time. I am hopeful that this will end in November. Raising taxes is not the answer! We are already overtaxed in this state. The answer to Fountain Valley’s problems is to boot the City Council incumbents.
Kim Constantine
Tucker and Constantine have our endorsement. It is time for a new day in Fountain Valley! Adios Brothers and Nagel!

Kim Constantine has been invited to spread her word about measure HH in a public forum that local business Los Caballeros has offered to host. :She has yet to respsond. Why has she not jumped on this opportunity?

This is a blog. Perhaps you are not familiar with blogs. Blogs advance opinions. It is our opinion that the Fountain Valley City Council incumbents are the worst! It figures that their supports are calling for censorship of opposing views…
So, so true… and I couldn’t have said it better. 🙂 I can tell you there is some attempts at censorship and odd hostility of trying to convert a firm “no” on Measure HH to a “yes”; however these weak attempts are met with continued strength in spreading awareness. It’s how I gain supporters — love it! Thank you so much. 🙂
