Garden Grove Police Association Endorses Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council District 6
Garden Grove, CA - Rickk Montoya today announced a huge endorsement from The Garden Grove Police Association for his campaign for Garden Grove City Council District 6.
“We are proud to endorse Rickk Montoya for Garden Grove City Council District 6,” said Brian Dalton, Garden Grove Police Association President. “Because of his knowledge of the issues effecting public safety within the city and his longstanding commitment to the law enforcement community.”
The Garden Grove Police Association’s (GGPA) goal is to professionally represent the Police Officers that comprise the majority of the Garden Grove Police Department. The GGPA strives to promote a high level of commitment to public safety and professionalism via an emphasis on education, legal support, community outreach and trust building.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement from the hardworking officers of the Garden Grove Police Association,” Montoya said. “As a 911 Dispatcher, I understand the demands and risks associated with keeping our streets safe. I look forward to working with the Garden Grove Police Association to nurture community relationships, lower crime, and to address issues such as homelessness.”
This endorsement follows other major endorsements for Montoya’s campaign such as the Garden Grove Firefighters IAFF Local 2005, the Democratic Party of Orange County, the Orange County Labor Federation and Garden Grove School Board Trustee Teri Rocco.
Rickk Montoya was raised in the same East Garden Grove community where he and his wife currently own a home and raise their children. He attended Woodbury Elementary, Doig Intermediate and graduated from Santiago High School. He also spent over 10 years serving in the United States Army. He currently works as a 911 Dispatcher with the Los Angeles Police Department. Rickk also serves the City of Garden Grove as the Chair of the Parks, Recreation & Arts Commission.
