Mensinger, Mansoor, and Ramos Receive Official Endorsement from Republican Party of Orange County

COSTA MESA, CA – The Republican Party of Orange County (OCGOP) voted unanimously to endorse Steve Mensinger, Allan Mansoor and Lee Ramos as the party’s officially backed candidates for Costa Mesa City Council. The formal endorsement occurred at the party’s monthly Central Committee meeting on Monday night. The OCGOP endorsement must be sought through a formal application and voting process.
“The OCGOP is proud to stand with our endorsed candidates Steve Mensinger, Allan Mansoor and Lee Ramos for city council. These three leaders share the principles and policy ideas that will keep Costa Mesa safe and prosperous in the future,” said Chairman Fred Whitaker “The party looks forward to working to get them elected and is proud to back their candidacies.”
Costa Mesa mayor Steve Mensinger stated, “I’m truly grateful to have received the support of the OCGOP. I look forward to continuing the progress we have made the last four years.”
Former Assemblyman and Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor stated, “I’m thrilled that the Republican Party of Orange County has joined our effort to bring fiscal responsibility, increased public safety, and improved quality of life to our city.”
Lee Ramos added, “It is an honor to again be endorsed by the Republican Party of Orange County. The Party’s focus on personal and fiscal responsibility is especially important in 2016. I look forward to representing these values in Costa Mesa as a member of the City Council.”
The OCGOP Central Committee is comprised Republican activists directly elected by voters and serves as the governing board for the Republican Party of Orange County. The OCGOP endorsement provides candidates access to valuable party resources that can be utilized to communicate to voters. The early endorsement of Mensinger, Mansoor, and Ramos by the OCGOP gives the trio a significant advantage as momentum builds in their campaign.
