The Orange County Vector Control District holds a board meeting each month and their August 18, 2016 meeting is the last monthly meeting before the height of mosquito season comes to an end…so it is an extremely important one to attend.
For 3 years in a row, OC Vector Control has tried to aerial spray millions of Orange County residents (without our consent!) with harmful pesticides. This is blatant trespassing. What sort of free country do we live in if someone is allowed to spray unwanted poisons over our property? In the past, OC Vector Control has ordered aerial spraying in early September… however they may try at anytime from now through September 2016, with ZERO notice to the public.
Please consider attending this meeting and if at all possible speaking to the OC Vector Control District Board Members. Each person gets 3 minutes to speak to the board (they usually take public comments at the very beginning, the first speaker usually starts no later than 3:05 pm, turn in a speaker card beforehand).

Our voices need to be heard and represented at each of these meetings, especially this one. We are the people they want to spray. The OC Vector Control employees that are directing these aerial spraying decisions do not even live in Orange County! We do. And We will forever have to live with the repercussions of what they have done. Please stand up for your beautiful Orange County. Don’t let them ruin it.
Remember that the main reason that the OC Vector Control District wants to dump chemicals on our home is in order to validate taking thousands of dollars from us via our property taxes. They have to create one scandal after another in order to keep us scared so that we won’t complain about their assessments. In truth what they do should be outsourced. Their employees are retiring with rich pensions and benefits that are unjustified.
“Citizens desiring to comment on specific agenda items are requested to indicate their interest to the Executive Assistant/Clerk of the Board before the start of the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, members of the public may address the Board of Trustees on agendized items or non-agendized items of interest that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board of Trustees. A member of the public shall be allowed a period of up to three (3) minutes, or a time at the discretion of the President of the Board, to address the Board of Trustees.”
