Rep. Ed Royce, D.A. Tony Rackauckas, Sheriff Sandra Hutchens Kick-off Supervisor Andrew Do’s Re-election
(Westminster, California) – Congressman Ed Royce, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens joined more than a hundred supporters and community leaders at a Saturday morning campaign kick-off for the re-election of Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do.
“Since his days as an Orange County prosecutor, Supervisor Andrew Do has been a leader on public safety,” said Congressman Ed Royce, who serves as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. “Now, as an Orange County Supervisor, Andrew Do has increased funding to local law enforcement agencies to keep violent criminals and sexual predators off our streets.”
Supervisor Andrew Do responded to the state’s early release of convicted criminals by working with his colleagues to increase funding to Orange County’s law enforcement agencies. The additional $24 million funded more than 900 jail beds, including 576 in maximum security, and upgraded equipment for Orange County’s Crime Lab.

Among the community leaders who attended the campaign rally at Supervisor Andrew Do’s Westminster campaign office were Orange County Supervisors Michelle Steel and Shawn Nelson, Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen, State Senator John Moorlach, Westminster Mayor Tri Ta, Westminster Councilman Tyler Diep and Fountain Valley Councilman Michael Vo.
“It’s an honor to have the support of Congressman Ed Royce, Orange County’s most trusted community leader,” said Supervisor Andrew Do.
In his first year on the job, Andrew Do helped small businesses by eliminating 13,443 small-dollar tax bills. Orange County was spending more to send out the tax bills than it received from the tax itself. Supervisor Andrew Do respected Prop. 13 by giving homeowners an extra 76 days to appeal their property taxes. He’s also worked with volunteer groups and county staff to establish Mile Square Park as a permanent home for the annual Tet Festival.
While he’s proud of his first term achievements, Supervisor Andrew Do, a former small business owner, is already setting new goals for his first full term on the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
“As our economy changes, Orange County must embrace innovation and support the small businesses that grow our economy and create jobs,” he said.
Supervisor Andrew Do represents the First District communities of Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Midway City and Santa Ana. A proud first generation Vietnamese-American immigrant, Andrew Do has served as an Orange County prosecutor, Garden Grove Councilman and Orange County Judge Pro Tem.
