REP. LORETTA SANCHEZ ON PASSAGE OF DHS FUNDING BILL
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-46), senior member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, today released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security for the remainder of the fiscal year.
“I am glad that House Republicans finally came to their senses, ended their dangerous game and helped us pass a clean, long-term DHS funding bill. I hope that Republicans will learn from this saga, stop threatening and start governing.
“While it is positive that we are finally moving forward, I remain concerned that we are running DHS on the same budget set out years ago. DHS must be able to respond to the ever-changing threats to our homeland and we need a new, thoughtful appropriations bill to reflect our needs.”

Oh brother. A national security junky. How about DISBANDING the DHS and making all the other duplicative security apparatchiks (NSA, FBI, CIA, DEA, Customs, etc., etc. ad nauseam ad infinitam) do their jobs?
