The Democratic Party of Orange County has always been lame but they reached a new low in this year’s General Election. They lost both the 65th Assembly District and the 34th State Senate District – and liberal Democrats were blown out in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Anaheim, and Irvine.
So is the DPOC going to fire their Executive Director, Henry Vandermeir?
Nope. Instead they are holding a celebration, with new California State Controller Betty Yee. Wow. Who the heck cares about Yee – or the State Controller’s office?
Yee only won because the Republican she ran against, Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin, had a record of supporting tax increases – and high speed rail. Swearengin also opposed her own party’s gubernatorial nominee, Neel Kashkari.
So of course Yee won – but will anyone in the OC want to meet her? Trust me this event will be full of pathetic Democratic Central Committee members and union hacks. Ugh.
If you actually want to attend this ridiculous event RSVP to info@OCDemocrats.org.
The event is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at 2 pm, at 1916 West Chapman Avenue, in Orange.
