SD34 Candidate Janet Nguyen needs to be reminded when she points a finger at someone, there are four others pointing back at her.
The campaign mailer above to the 34th Senate District she and Jose Solorio are running for hit today. Nguyen’s team is associating Solorio, a former State Assemblyman who’s not been in Sacramento for two years since he was termed out, with four Senate Democrat scoundrels. Solorio’s response is easy: Supervisor Nguyen’s Fundraising Attracts Scrutiny of the FBI as published in March by the union-funded Voice of OC. Writers Norberto Santana, Jr. and Tracy Wood can be trusted as much or more than the Register. Their lead:
A contractor who has done work for the county of Orange this week confirmed that FBI officials contacted him late last year with questions about county Supervisor Janet Nguyen. Additionally, another source told Voice of OC that FBI agents had a “wide-ranging” discussion with the source about Nguyen’s fundraising activities, specifically in regards to county contracts. That FBI agents have been asking about Nguyen’s fundraising has for months been the worst-kept secret in the county Hall of Administration.
We’ve got no pick in SD34 — a potential crook that destroyed CalOptima versus a union-backed liberal is a lousy choice.
OCPB endorses no one in the District. Still, we’d LOVE to see a debate between these two.
