Bad enough that Michelle Steel is a carpetbagger from Los Angeles County running for the Orange County Board of Supervisors, but over the past few weeks local voters have been bombarded by mailers paid for by the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs (AOCDS).
What do the Deputy Sheriffs expect from their investment in Steel? I would think that would be a raise and even more generous pension benefits. So much for Steel’s self-avowed tax fighting. How does she propose to pay for her schemes?
The reality is that Steel is terribly unqualified to be an Orange County Supervisor. She has been elected to one office – the State Board of Equalization. Her top opponent, Assemblyman Allan Mansoor, has worked as a Council Member in Costa Mesa and as a State Legislator. And previous to his political career he was himself an Orange County Deputy Sheriff.
Mansoor knows what our cities need and he understands how Sacramento works. As a former County employee he also will be in a good position to deal with our public employee unions. Steel? No way. She is going to find herself way over her head if she does get elected.
To replace a termed out Supervisor John Moorlach with Steel would be horrible! Mansoor on the other hand can be expected to be a fiscal conservative. Steel is already in bed with the unions! We know we cannot trust her.
Imagine if Steel gets elected to the OC Board of Supervisors? Supervisor Janet Nguyen is going to lose to Jose Solorio this year in their battle for the 34th State Senate District, which means we will be stuck with the corrupt Nguyen on the OC Board of Supervisors for two more years. What sort of hijinks will Steel and Nguyen get involved in? It is sickening to consider the ramifications of this unholy coupling.
Nicely written Art! Enjoy reading your writings!
Thanks Jose!
She doesn’t live in the district. Period. End of story.
Exactly!
