The Orange County Employees Association and Orange County Attorney’s Association have launched a direct attack on the Orange County Board of Supervisors, called the “Real Supervisors of Orange County.” The PR effort includes a Facebook page too.
Here is their opening salvo:
These Orange County politicians have awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts to campaign contributors, including to a company convicted of fraud.
And they’ve allowed special interest lobbyists to write laws to benefit themselves instead of Orange County residents.
The Grand Jury has called out a culture of corruption in Orange County government, and now an FBI Task Force is investigating corruption in government as well.
You can click through this website to find just some of the many examples of wasteful perks, pay-to-play practices and cronyism in Orange County.

I like it. I am not a big fan of the OCEA’s boss, Nick Berardino, who can be a real boor, but I like that they are pointing out how corrupt our County politicians are. Dave Zenger could certainly add to that. The OCEA should ask him to contribute to their effort. As a former employee of the current Chairman of the BOS, Shawn Nelson, Zenger knows where the bodies are buried. In particular he can finger Supervisors Pat Bates and Janet Nguyen. The latter is about as corrupt as they come!
