The PPIC is out with its statewide survey:
- Most important issue: jobs, economy (44%); health care, health reform (11%), education, schools (7%); state budget, deficit, taxes (6%); immigration, illegal immigration (5%)
- Jerry Brown job approval: 47% approve, 28% disapprove (+1% from January)
- Legislature job approval: 38% approve, 43% disapprove (+2% from January)
- Caliifornia generally: 45% right direction, 46% wrong direction (+8% from January)
- CA economic conditions over next 6 months: 43% good times, 48% bad times (+8% from January)
- Favorable/unfavorable:
- Jerry Brown: 46%-40%
- Tim Donnelly: 7%-8%
- Abel Maldonado: 10%-19%
- Top-two for Governor:
- Jerry Brown: 46%
- Tim Donnelly: 16%
- Abel Maldonado: 7%
- Someone else: 1%
Field is also out with polling results today, and finds Jerry Brown’s approval rating at 58% with a disapproval of 33%, a 7% improvement since July and the highest of his Governorship 2.0.
- Favorable/unfavorable:
- Jerry Brown: 56%-37%
- Tim Donnelly: 12%-8%
- Abel Maldonado: 18%-20%
- Top-two for Governor:
- Jerry Brown: 52%
- Abel Maldonado: 11%
- Tim Donnelly: 9%
- Neel Kashkari: 3%
- Undecided: 25%
