David Warren Peters
An attorney who has been consulted in more than 1200 ADA/accessibility lawsuits throughout the United States and served as lead counsel in over 400 in California. He advises a number of statewide associations, chambers of commerce and other business organizations about how to reduce the risk of lawsuits and the unique challenges California’s “private enforcement” system creates, especially for small business defendants.
Mr. Peters is an appointee of two successive United States Secretaries of Commerce (Evans and Gutierrez) and is former chair of the Legal Committee of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce; he has also served on the Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee of the State Bar of California. For years, he was Chairman of the Board of San Diego Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse.
