Did you notice that Irvine Mayor Sukhee Kang, who is the Democratic nominee for the 45th Congressional District, got stiffed by his own party at Tuesday night’s huge rally at UCI, which featured former President Bill Clinton?
How awful for Kang! He was overlooked by the Democratic Party of California in his own backyard! Clinton rallied the troops for five other Democratic Congressional candidates, but Kang got blown off! How did this happen?
For starters, look at the results of this June’s primary election. Kang only got 33% of the vote. The incumbent, U.S. Representative John Campbell, got 51% of the vote, according to Smart Voter. Game over for Kang!
How is Kang going to make up that immense difference in votes?
Is it any wonder that Campbell didn’t show up to debate Kang at a debate held on Sep. 27. Kang whined at length about that here. But his own party left him out of the Clinton rally at UCI! In his own city! You can’t blame Campbell for ignoring a guy who is being openly dissed by his own party…
