Marci Sauer, a senior human resources manager at the Orange County treasurer-tax collector’s office, has been placed on administrative leave as an internal investigation looks into whether senior officials improperly cashed out annual leave balances, according to the Voice of OC.
The Voice of OC also reported that “several other senior managers at the treasurer-tax collector’s office are also being questioned and other managers could be placed on administrative leave soon.”
This is just the latest human resources debacle at the County of Orange, after a summer full of such blow-ups, led by the resignation and arrest of former Orange County middle manager Carlos Bustamante.
I wonder if the Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector, Shari Freidenrich, had this in mind when she sent out a press release today touting her appointment as President of a national association of Treasurers?
