We’re learning that Troy Edgar failed to get an endorsement for his 72nd Assembly Race at last Saturday’s Republican Party Convention in Burbank.
Edgar was unanimously turned down by the GOPers, and even by those who had previously given him their endorsement. This doesn’t bode well for any support that Edgar might have been expecting at the Orange County GOP Central Committee meeting next Monday.
Apparently getting dissed by the CRP and his previous endorsers angered Edgar so much that he blew off the Saturday and Sunday sessions, took his ball and went home. Meanwhile his opponent, Travis Allen, gave speeches to the OC Young Republicans, Republican Women’s Federated, the CRA and the Hispanic Caucus.
Is that a bottle of “whine” in Troy’s hand? Does it come with a serving of say “cheese”?
When your endorsers are willing to vote against you, that seems like an ominous sign of bigger problems in your campaign.
I wonder how he will “feel the love” on Monday when he is supposed to be at the City Council meeting? Oh that’s right, he doesn’t have to attend City Council meetings anymore. He ducked the Special Meetings called by the minority because he didn’t want to actually be held responsible for his violation of the City Municipal Code.
“Any time, any where, always ready, always there.” – The Navy Submariners motto. And “Honor, Courage, Commitment” – The Navy “core values” seem a bit hollow from a guy who doesn’t show up to meetings because he may be held accountable for his actions.
Of course his ‘whine’ is a repeat of what he said when the civil action was taken on his actions, “It’s all political”. Of course a Superior Court Judge found that it wasn’t. So, I can understand why he is pulling out the same bottle of ‘whine’ when anyone suggests a criminal investigation into his actions. Honor? Nah. Just a commitment to whine.
Oh yes, please vote for Troy, the citizens of Los Alamitos would like him to win so he won’t do any further damage to the community.
Troy was in Burbank and dissed the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Reception that was held Friday night. The candidate for AD72 was no where to be found in a city of mostly well-heeled, loyal Republicans that’s completely contained in the District’s boundaries.
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher attended the Reception as he always does when the House is not in session. Rohrabacher’s endorsed Edgar while his boy was pleading for, it sounds like, RE-endorsements. Travis Allen, Edgar’s opposition, was there, and favorably impressing the City Council, most of which has also endorsed Taxin’ Troy. Supervisor Moorlach and wife Trina were there as always — John’s also endorsed Edgar.
That’s one bad impression to leave with your endorsers — let them show at a once-per-year function, but stay away yourself as you’re failing to even get endorsements you already had?
