Daigle Celebrates Extensive Campaign Walk Program
Campaign canvassing an average of 25 precincts per week
Newport Beach, Calif. – With only a week left before Primary Election Day, State Assembly Candidate Leslie Daigle’s walk program has successfully introduced itself to nearly all voters in the 74th district through an organized and sustained precinct walking operation that began in early March.
“We’ve had a seven day a week operation that enabled us to complete all non-gated precincts in Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and Huntington Beach, and we’ve made inroads into Laguna Beach covering more than 250 precincts,” said Daigle.
Councilwoman Daigle personally interacted at the doorstep with voters in this new, wide-open district. Completing an average of 25 precincts per week, the campaign’s walking successes include visiting over 19,000 households in Irvine alone.
“We’ve had an incredible group of volunteers and walkers who personally communicated with voters,” said Daigle. “The response has been overwhelmingly the same – voters are fed up with Sacramento, its out of control spending, and insistence on raising taxes. And the dissatisfaction isn’t limited to one party. This shows that voters want serious representatives who put the concerns of taxpayers ahead of everyone else with their hand out.”
The newly drawn 74th Assembly District is a diverse powerhouse that has some of the strongest parts of Orange County’s economy and some of California’s best places to live, work and play.
“Going into Election Day, I am confident that our message has reached the majority of voters in the 74th District,” said Daigle. “However, there is still work to be done. I will continue to campaign right up until the polls close on June 5th.”
