Sacramento – Senator Andy Vidak (R-Hanford) announced today that Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 2, urging Congress and President Obama to work together to create a comprehensive and workable approach to reform the nation’s immigration system, passed both houses of the Legislature with strong bipartisan support (39 – 0 in the Senate and 65 – 1 in the Assembly).
“We need commonsense reform that provides strong border security and creates an immigration system that provides legal status so that our friends and neighbors can come out of the shadows,” said Vidak.
