Taxpayer advocate Michelle Steel to be sworn in as newest OC Supervisor Monday, January 5, in Santa Ana
Orange County – On Monday, January 5, 2015, at 2:00p.m., the Honorable Michelle Steel will be sworn in as Orange County’s newest member of the Board of Supervisors, in the historic courtroom of the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana. Steel, who won the November 6th general election with more than 62 percent of the vote, will replace termed-out Second District Supervisor John Moorlach. The second Feet to the Fire candidate’s forum was held tonight in Costa Mesa and as usual Chris Nguyen, over at the OC Political blog, did a fine job covering what was said.
We however would like to focus one big issue that was raised by the candidates for the 2nd District on the OC Board of Supervisors, regarding where one of them really lives.
The candidates were all there tonight including the sole Democrat, labor-lover Jim Moreno, and the three Republicans – Michelle Steel, Allan Mansoor and Joe Carchio.
Steel tried to bash Mansoor because he said he would accept a pension as a Supervisor. His response was hilarious, and spot on. He said that “he would accept the pension because he is not independently wealthy and does not have a home in Rancho Palos Verdes.” Continue reading
