“Chandra Wallar, whom all five members of the Board of Supervisors said they wanted to hire as the county’s new CEO, declined Thursday to accept the job after the board failed to agree to pay her what she wanted,” according to the O.C. Register.
Wallar apparently was miffed when someone leaked her name to the Voice of OC, which is funded in part by the OCEA (the Orange County Employees Association). And the Supervisors refused to give her the money she wanted – amost $300K a year. Continue reading
