As many of you know, there is a very important special election coming up to the fill the vacancy in the 37th State Senate district. The 37th SD, which covers a third of the county and is one of Southern California’s largest State Senate districts, stretches as far north as south Huntington Beach and covers most of south central O.C.
The special election to fill this vacancy will be held on March 17th. If no candidate receives a majority of the votes, there will be a run-off election on May 19th! Three GOP candidates have officially launched their campaigns: Assemblyman Donald P. Wagner, former campaign adviser and current Mission Viejo Realtor Naz Namazi, and former O.C. Supervisor/County Treasurer John Moorlach. By this Spring, only one will have the privilege of serving the good people of the 37th in Sacramento’s upper chamber. Continue reading
