Orange and Los Angeles County to Host Voting Workshop for New Citizens at Naturalization Ceremony
Up to 10,000 new citizens to experience voting and discover elections first hand immediately following swearing in ceremony
SANTA ANA, CA – October 21, 2014 – The Orange County Registrar of Voters is partnering with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) and community organizations to educate and inform new citizen voters on how to vote in the upcoming November 4, 2014 General Election.
The U.S. District Court Naturalization Ceremony for new citizens will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Immediately following the 9 a.m. (approximate start time 10:15 a.m.) ceremony, Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley and Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters Dean C. Logan will welcome new citizens and kick-off a voting workshop. Continue reading
