The Libertarian Party has not yet responded to tonight’s State of the Union speech, by President Barack Obama, so in the meantime here is U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s video response:
Obnoxious liberal Orange Juice blogger Gregory “Greg” Diamond is apparently running against Republican State Senate Majority Leader Bob Huff in the 2012 open primary for the 29th State Senate District. LOL! Good luck with that Diamond!
Huff handily beat his Democratic opponent, Joe Lyons, in 2008, with 54.5% of the vote, compared to Lyons’ 38.9% of the vote, as per Smart Voter.

Public officials are scrambling in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in California Redevelopment Agency vs. Matosantos to react to their loss of tax-increment financed redevelopment, which served as their piggy-bank under the Community Redevelopment Law for the past 65 years. The California State Legislature and their crony capitalist allies will desperately try to resurrect new tax and economic incentives to reclaim their ability to interfere in the California real estate markets. But barring any last minute emergency legislation, many redevelopment agencies will go into financial distress and be forced to hammer-sale huge amounts of depressed California real estate to avoid default. Moderation isn’t working anymore for Orange County’s labor leaders, according to the Voice of OC. When has this far-left bunch ever been moderate? It is true however that this year they have seemingly lost their minds – lining up behind union consultant Julio Perez for the 69th Assembly District, behind the crazed rantings of labor boss Teferi Gebre, who describes his political views, on Facebook, as “very liberal.” LOL! Gebre lives in Carlsbad – a city with an $85K median income. How 1% of him!
Backing Perez is such a bad idea that both Assemblyman Jose Solorio and State Senator Lou Correa, as well as DPOC Chairman Frank Barbaro, have had to remind local Democrats that the 69th is a moderate district. Of course when the Democrats hold their meetings at a union hall, you can’t expect much in the way of moderation. And so Perez is now bragging that he won a strong majority of support from Democratic Party Delegates during a Pre-Primary Endorsement Conference held this weekend. Of course he did! Would you expect much else from these liberal nuts?
Itzcoatl “Izzy” Ocampo, a resident of Yorba Linda, stands accused of four horrible murders – but I did not like the way O.C. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas went after him at his press conference. Ocampo served our country as a U.S. Marine – and by all accounts he was a good man before he left.
According to the OC Weekly, Rackauckas called Ocampo “a monster” and a “vicious killer”– but indicated he’s been “cooperative” with investigators. He also said, “There is no evidence that is he mentally ill.” Really? The Veterans Administration had diagnosed him with psychological problems. Continue reading
The Fullerton Recall team made news this week when they turned in well over 50,000 signatures from Fullerton voters to initiate a recall election of Fullerton Council Members Don Bankhead, Dick Jones and Pat McKinley, according to the FFFF Blog.
Did you know that Bankhead, Jones and McKinley all have something in common? They were all endorsed by Congressman Ed Royce. (Supervisor Shawn Nelson endorsed Bankhead and Jones as well – which you have to believe he regrets now! Shame on whatever squish convinced him to make those awful endorsements). Continue reading
