What a sad state of affairs in OC, where few TV commercial breaks LACK a shyster ad, yet (probably for that economic reason) judgeships go begging. That Un-Repressed a memory of the Press Kerfluffle months back about a South County Judge (In OCWeekly, if I remember!) who based a rape trial ruling on the Spurious Science of ” a woman’s body can shut things down after a rape” after which I further learned (Thanks, Google!) the SAME jurist gained earlier fame, by accepting the ‘Seinfeld’ pseudo- holiday of Festivus, as justification for retaining an OC inmates special diet (higher cost!) meal requests. Come to find out, said Jurist had MERELY STEPPED INTO THE OFFICE SANS ELECTION, when it remained vacant for lack of Candidates (That’s the Law, Folks!) So how many of you are down with pleading your Traffic Citations at the (future) bench of Hizzonor Steve Rocco? I hope to be resettled out of state, if ever reading THAT headline!
