Could the Calderon investigation topple more California Democrats in 2014?

Karina Onofre Banner

Sick Democrats

State Senator Ron Calderon, the subject of an ongoing federal investigation has not yet been charged. But in documents filed last month in federal court, he said the raid of his offices came after he refused FBI requests to wear a recording device and act as an informant against Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg of Sacramento and Sen. Kevin de Leon of Los Angeles, both fellow Democrats, according to the O.C. Register.

Could Calderon’s troubles sink more Democrats before this is all over?  It certainly won’t help their cause.  They are already reeling from their vote for a transgender public school bathroom bill; their continued attacks on Prop. 13 and backwash from the NSA mess and the ObamaCare fail.

While the Republicans in California have been in full retreat for awhile they now have a decent shot at unseating a few Democrats in 2014.

Locally the OC GOP needs to figure out if they will challenge career politician Tom Daly, in the 69th Assembly District.  They have the perfect challenger in SAUSD Trustee Cecilia Iglesias.  Daly supported the giveaway of millions of tax dollars to an Anaheim hotel developer.  Iglesias can surely use that issue to beat him over the head!

This is a good idea. Cecilia would be great for this job.
