Orange County’s Third Supervisorial District candidates Todd Spitzer and Deborah Pauly will be facing off on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at a debate sponsored by the Orange Republican Women Federated meeting at 6:30 pm, at the Foxfire Restaurant. It’s a reception event and the cost is $15 per person. The Foxfire Restaurant (off 91) is located at 5715 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road, in Anaheim Hills. Reservations required – contact 714-998-9065 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
U.S. Representative Loretta Sanchez lost her campaign money in the Kinde Durkee scandal – but it may not matter. Her new 46th congressional district “encompasses most of Santa Ana, parts of Garden Grove, Anaheim, Westminster and Fullerton. Previous drafts of the maps gave the area, which is home to Disneyland and a heavy population of immigrants, a slight Republican edge,” according to the L.A. Times. But did you know she is still listed as a Principal at a lobbying firm she co-owns with her husband, Matt Cunningham?

They own Pacific Strategies, a public relations and public affairs company that, supposedly taps “years of government and political experience to assist you in building support for initiatives and projects, creating positive awareness of your organization or project and guiding clients through the governmental process. We’re experienced with effective strategies for favorably influencing elected leaders, government officials, and community and opinion leaders—building coalitions and mobilizing opinion in support of your goals, and neutralizing critics. Our clients are the beneficiaries of relationships we’ve nurtured during the course of nearly two decades.” Yep, lobbyists! Continue reading
