Build the Blue Bench: Democratic Party to host Training for Local Candidates
Democratic Party of Orange County and CSUF College Democrats co-host National Democratic Training Committee for free all-day campaign training on Saturday, June 16
The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) and CSUF College Democrats today announce a new training to help Democrats run successful campaigns for City Council, School Board and Water District.
The “Blue Bench” training is on Saturday, June 16 at Cal State Fullerton and covers fundraising, press, digital media, and field operations. Training is open to Democrats and is free of charge.
“The blue wave is bigger than most people realize,” said Fran Sdao, Chair of DPOC. “This is the year to run for local office. We’re here to help Democrats connect with voters and run great campaigns.”
“Young people are taking politics seriously,” said Andrea Guzman, Chair of the CSUF College Democrats. “At CSUF, we’re recruiting candidates, organizing forums, and mobilizing for campaigns. Young people are looking to serve our communities and run for office.”
DPOC and CSUF College Democrats are co-hosting the National Democratic Training Committee, a training program produced in partnership with Run For Something, Emerge America, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and Labor and Trade partners.
