Senate Republican Leader Patricia Bates has endorsed Eric Early for Attorney General, the campaign announced today.
“I am honored to have the support of our Senate Republican Leader” said Early. “Senator Bates has spent years fighting for liberty, limited government and common-sense in California, and I’m excited to earn her vote of confidence.”
Senator Bates was elected to the State Senate in 2014 from the 36th Senate District, following two terms on the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 2007 to 2014. Prior to her election to the Board, Senator Bates served in the state Assembly for six years, and on the Laguna Niguel City Council from 1989 to 1998 – including a stint as the city’s first mayor.
She was elected leader of the Senate Republican Caucus in 2017.
