SANTA ANA, Calif. (March 3, 2017) – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is pleased to introduce our new Public Information Officer (PIO), Lt. Lane Lagaret.
Lt. Lagaret has worked for the Sheriff’s Department for 27 years, serving in a variety of roles in the organization. Before promoting to Sergeant in 2006, he worked as a Jail Deputy, Patrol Deputy, Motorcycle Deputy and a Tactical Officer at the Orange County Sheriff’s Regional Academy.
Lt. Lagaret also worked as an Internal Affairs Sergeant for more than two years before becoming the Administrative Lieutenant for the Theo Lacy Facility. In 2014, Lt. Lagaret was named Chief of Police Services for Yorba Linda, where he served for two years. Most recently, Lt. Lagaret has held the post of Academy Commander for the Orange County Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy.
Before joining the Sheriff’s Department in 1989, he served three years in the United States Marine Corps.
