In an unbelievable turn of events former state legislator Joe Dunn’s campaign for the 46th Congressional District apparently either forgot to file a ballot statement or could not afford to do so, according to the Liberal OC Blog.
This is an stunning error on the part of Dunn’s campaign.
Everyone knows that the cheapest publicity available to every candidate is the ballot statement, which is sent to every single voter, in several languages.
It is hard to believe that Dunn’s campaign could be so lame, yet I checked with the OC Registrar of Voters and sure enough Dunn’s campaign did not file a ballot statement.
Now Dunn will have to spend money that his campaign apparently doesn’t have so he can reintroduce himself to voters who in most cases don’t remember him as he has been out of public office for almost ten years.
This is great news for the other major Democratic candidates, Garden Grove Mayor Bao Nguyen and former state legislator Lou Correa.
March has certainly been a bad month for Dunn. A report was released earlier in the month that claims that Dunn’s 2014 firing from his job as executive director of the State Bar of California was justified because he misled board members and failed to provide them with key information, according to the O.C. Register.
