If you are a decline to state or No Party Preference voter here in Orange County you should know that you won’t be able to vote for the Democratic Party, American Independent Party or Libertarian Party Presidential candidates unless you return the pink postcard that the O.C. Registrar of Voters sent to all the non-affiliated voters this week.
You must return the pink card to the O.C. Registrar of Voters indicating which party’s ballot you would like to receive. If you, for example, want to vote for Bernie Sanders you must indicate on the pink card that you want the Democratic Party ballot.
If however you are a non-affiliated voter and you want to vote for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz then you are out of luck as the Republican Party of California will not allow you to vote for their candidates unless you are a registered Republican.
Still have questions? The O.C. Registrar of Voters has set up detailed FAQ pages, which you can find by clicking here.
