Kings County Democratic Club “Blue Wave” Endorse Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate
Support for Loretta Sanchez in the Central Valley Continues to Grow
Hanford, CA – Today, the Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate Campaign announced the endorsement of the Kings County Democratic Club, “Blue Wave,” in her bid to replace retiring Senator Barbara Boxer.
Today’s endorsement comes on the heels of the recent backing by Latino Victory Fund, the Orange County Young Democrats, and local elected officials from Los Angeles County.
“We believe Loretta Sanchez is the best person to represent the State of California in Washington, D.C., she’s committed to listening and learning from all the communities in California by visiting some of the most forgotten areas such as ours, here in Kings County,” said Blue Wave Executive Board Member, Ruth López. “Blue Wave is honored to endorse Loretta Sanchez as our next U.S. Senator.”
The announcement comes as Rep. Sanchez visits members of the “Blue Wave” Democrats in Hanford during her campaign visit to the Central Valley this weekend.
“It’s always a pleasure to visit Democrats across the Golden State. I’m glad that I got to meet with the Blue Wave Democrats, and to have gotten their endorsement, is really an honor,” said Rep. Sanchez. “I believe that it is important to meet with the people you want to represent, and I thank Blue Wave Democrats for spending part of their Sunday with me, and for their support.”
Support for Rep. Sanchez in the Central Valley continues to grow. She has received the endorsement of Central valley leaders Rep. Jim Costa (CA-16), Fresno County Supervisor Henry Perea, former Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, and former State Assemblywoman Sarah Reyes.
In addition, Representative Loretta Sanchez was endorsed by Central Valley Mayors: Victor Lopez of Orange Cove, Robert Silva of Mendota, David Cardenas of Fowler, Scott Robertson of Selma, Mayor Pro-Tem Raul Cantu of Sanger, and Mayor Pro-Tem Daniel Parra of Fowler.
