Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do would like to invite homeowners to an important Townhall meeting on March 4th, 2016 co-sponsored by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association about the privileges granted to taxpayers under the landmark initiative Proposition 13.
In 1978, nearly two-thirds of California voters approved Proposition 13, which reduced property taxes on homes and small businesses. As a result, property taxes are limited to one percent of a home’s value – with annual increases limited to 2 percent.
Today, many taxpaying homeowners and business owners across Orange County are not aware of the benefits and rights afforded to them under this historic measure.
A Townhall meeting Co-Sponsored by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association will be taking place in Orange County.
