Ezequiel Barragan, the Dana Hills High School Spanish teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy he met while serving as a courtroom advocate for the child, was elected in January a Democrat delegate for 2015-16 from the 73rd Assembly District covering Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills and Dana Point, according to the O.C. Weekly.
Barragan’s election was previously reported by the Orange Juice Blog on January 23, 2015.
Barragan is not thought to be related to Francisco Barragan, a Santa Ana resident who ran unsuccessfully for the 69th Assembly District in 2012. Francisco came in dead last in that race with just over 600 votes, according to Smart Voter.
Barragan, the accused molester, describes himself as a “High school Spanish teacher with a serious case of wanderlust,” according to his own blog. While he most recently taught at Dana Hills High School he previously taught at Santa Ana High School where he was also a varsity baseball coach, according to the New Santa Ana blog.
Barragan’s former blog makes it clear that he has traveled a lot in the Orient – which is disturbing as U.S. perverts like to travel to Asian countries where they can easily buy sex with young boys.
Some child-advocacy groups estimate that as many as 25 percent of all sex tourists abroad come from the United States. Although the data is inexact, Americans who have sex with children abroad are thought to number in the thousands, with hard-core pedophiles, casual tourists and business people taking advantage of lax enforcement, child advocacy groups and American officials say, according to the New York Times.
Obviously the Democrats need to oust this guy and they should probably apologize for taking him in to begin with.
