The Orange County Democrats are not running a candidate in the March 17, 2015 37th State Senate District Special Election. Nor are any of the third parties.
Namazi is not running a campaign although she will be on the ballot. She has no campaign website and not even a campaign Facebook page. She has in the past been a campaign worker for U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, who has not yet endorsed a candidate in this race. I suspect she filed in order to dissuade a Democrat from filing.
Moorlach and Wagner are both conservatives but Moorlach focuses his efforts on fiscal conservatism while Wagner serves a slew of Special Interests and is a social conservative. Moorlach is fixated on reducing government corruption and waste while Wagner is focused on stopping abortions and gay marriage – and doing what his master, lobbyist Curt Pringle, tells him to.
So who should Democrats and independent voters support in this race?
Well as we have previously written, Wagner’s record in Sacramento is nothing short of hideous. He is a consistent vote against the environment, consumers and women.
Moorlach will be a voice of fresh air in Sacramento – and he will fight to reduce our state debt while opposing new taxes and government waste.
Moorlach is clearly the candidate of choice for both Republicans and the disenfranchised voters in the 37th State Senate District.
