SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblyman Eric Linder released the following statement about his selection as Vice Chair of the powerful Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization:
“Governmental Organization Committee oversees several industries that are important to the Inland Empire and the 60th Assembly District. As Vice Chair, I plan to work on policies that will boost the economy of the region and promote job growth. I would like to thank Speaker Atkins and Assembly Republican Leader Olsen for entrusting me with this honor and look forward to getting down to work.”
Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization has primary jurisdiction over alcohol, Indian Gaming, horseracing, tobacco, public records, open meetings laws, state holidays, outdoor advertising, and emergency services/natural disasters.
“Eric has the real-world perspective needed to responsibly balance the many competing interests that the Governmental Organization Committee oversees,” said Assembly Republican Leader Kristin Olsen.
In addition to being appointed Vice Chair of Governmental Organization, Assemblyman Linder was also named as a member of the Assembly Committees on Transportation, Higher Education, and Local Government.
Assembly Member Eric Linder, R-Corona, represents the 60th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the communities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, & Riverside.
