Will Janet Nguyen help Michele Steel to pay back the $300K she borrowed from herself?
Buying elections?

According to the latest reports, here are some interesting numbers:
- Michelle Steel: Personally loaned $300,000 – still outstanding. Owes $29,000 to creditors. Has $37,177 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014. From July 1 through Sept. 30, she collected $150,000 — 69% of this amount came from Korean constituency residing outside of Orange County.
- Robert Ming: Personally loaned $47,500 – still outstanding. Owes $l4,877 to creditors. Has $8,655 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014.
- Lisa Bartlett: Personally loaned $137,000 – still outstanding. Owes $71,481 to creditors. Has $2,929 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014.
- Allan Mansoor: Made no loan. Owes
$35,230$1,733 to creditors. Has $1,851 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014. (Note – Mansoor says he has paid off his campaign debt!) - Webster Guillory: Personally loaned $30,413 – still outstanding. Owes $7,000 to creditors. Has $14,003 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014.
- Claude Parrish: Personally loaned $481,200 – still outstanding. Owes $0 to creditors. Has $33 in the bank as of Nov. 14, 2014.
Now that Steel, Bartlett and Parrish are the winners and they are all in debt, we can expect the business community that has contracts or proposals going through the county system will be asked to help pay off these debts.
The outstanding expenses that are owed to creditors MUST be paid off or they become contributions and are subject to the limit of $1,900. Let’s see if they pay their bills BEFORE they reimburse themselves for their personal loans. I am concerned about Mansoor’s large debt because he did not win his seat and therefore is not in a good position to raise funds to pay off the debt.
Very simple–sell their votes ! Bartlett may be the worst !
Holy Parrish, Claude. 500 large?
While steel bought her election with the help of unions Mansoor doesn’t have any debt from what I read. Please clarify where you got this information. Thanks.

The numbers don’t add up. Mansoor has no debt. Have messaged the Mansoor campaign about this for clarification/response.
Anonymous is partially right. Mansoor does not owe creditors $35,230 as I mistakenly cited (looked at the wrong date). He wisely paid off almost all of it and still owes only $1,733. My error and I deeply apologize to Mr. Mansoor. And thanks Anonymous for being on your toes.
It’s easy for Steel and Bartlett. For the latter, Rancho Mission Viejo/Lyle Overby/PDI will get right on it.
The 5th Floor has a revolving lobbyist door. Parrish is never going to get it back.
Wow Claude Parrish bought the Assessor’s Office for a half a million? Can someone fill us in on where Claude gets that kind of money? Does he have that much personal wealth?
Not only that, but somebody on the inside helped torpedo Webster Guillory. Any guesses?
Would it be rude to suggest that they spend less, and therefore borrow less and owe less?
The media should be talking about the role The Irvine Company and Paul Hernandez played in many of these races. Poor Webster should never have listened to Paul.
