The goal of the South Orange County Economic Coalition, led by the South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce, is to provide a strong voice for business throughout the region. From Lake Forest to San Clemente and everywhere in between, the Economic Coalition will advocate for:
- Greater investment in our region’s Infrastructure; this includes strong advocacy for a comprehensive solution to our region’s significant transportation challenges and ensuring a reliable supply of energy and water resources;
- Appropriate supply of quality, reasonably-priced Housing for our region’s workforce; and
- Enhanced Workforce Development opportunities to prepare the next generation of skilled workers for the challenges of tomorrow.
The Coalition will launch and fund specific initiatives that support one or more of the above advocacy goals. It will educate and mobilize not just business leaders, owners and their employees but a broad spectrum of community leaders who understand the importance of these issues to future economic and job growth.
Current or invited business coalition partners include the Orange County Business Council, the region’s city Chambers of Commerce and trade associations such as the BIA, the Orange County Association of Realtors and the Community Associations Institute.
